Top to bottom

How we deep clean a home

  1. Walk round first

We agree the list with you, room by room. We point out anything that will not come off, like marks etched into enamel or mould grown into old sealant.

  2. Work from the top down

High dust comes off first, then shelves, doors and skirting, then the floors last. Nothing falls onto a surface we have already cleaned.

  3. Kitchen and bathrooms

Grease and limescale each get the right product for the surface. Steam lifts the grime from grout, taps and seals without harsh chemicals.

  4. Check with you

Before we leave, we walk round with you. If anything is not right, we clean it again there and then.

What affects the price

  • The size of the home

    A studio flat is from £120, a 1-bed flat from £150, a 2-bed house from £200, a 3-bed house from £260 and a 4-bed house from £330.

  • Kitchens and bathrooms

These take the longest, because grease and limescale need the right product and time to work. A second bathroom or an en suite adds time.

  • How long since the last clean

After building work or a long gap, a home may need a third cleaner or a second visit. We tell you that when we quote, not on the day.

  • Extras on the same visit

An oven clean is from £55 and carpet cleaning from £45 a room. Ask when you book so we bring the right kit.

What we clean, room by room

  • Kitchen

Cupboard fronts, worktops, tiles and the hob degreased, the outside of the appliances wiped, and the sink and taps descaled.

  • Bathrooms

Limescale taken off the shower screen, taps and tiles, the bath and toilet cleaned, and steam run over the grout and seals to lift the grime.

  • Bedrooms and living rooms

High dust off shelves, light fittings and the tops of wardrobes, then skirting boards, doors, frames and light switches wiped by hand.

  • Windows and floors

Inside windows, sills and frames cleaned. Floors vacuumed and mopped, edges included, and behind and under the furniture we can move safely.

Which clean do you need?

  • A deep clean

For a home you live in, with your furniture and belongings in place. Most people book one before a regular cleaner starts, after building work, or once or twice a year.

  • An end of tenancy clean

For an empty property, cleaned to the letting agent’s checklist, including inside every cupboard and appliance. See end of tenancy cleaning.

  • Moving into a new home

If it is still empty, an end of tenancy clean reaches inside every cupboard before your things arrive. Once you have moved in, book a deep clean instead.

  • After building work

Fine dust settles on every ledge, frame and floor, and keeps coming down for days. We work from the top down, so nothing falls onto a surface we have already cleaned.

What is not included

  • Inside the oven

A deep clean degreases the hob and the outside of the oven. Inside the oven, the racks and the door glass are an oven clean, from £55 on the same visit.

  • Carpet cleaning

We vacuum the carpets. A hot water extraction clean is extra, from £45 a room.

  • Heavy furniture

We clean behind and under furniture we can move safely. Wardrobes, beds and heavy units stay where they are, and we clean around them.

  • Damage and old marks

Marks etched into enamel and mould grown into old sealant will not come off. We point them out on the walk round before we start.

Getting the home ready

  • Put things away

Clear clutter off worktops, shelves and floors, so the time goes on cleaning rather than tidying.

  • Know your priorities

Think about the rooms or jobs that matter most to you. We agree the list with you, room by room, on the walk round.

  • Access

You do not need to be home. Leave a key or a door code, and we send photos when we finish.

After a deep clean

  • A walk round with you

If you are home, we walk round together before we leave, and anything that is not right gets cleaned again there and then.

  • Keeping it clean

Squeegee the shower screen after each use and run the bathroom fan, so limescale and mould are slower to come back. Wipe the hob after cooking, before grease sets.

  • How often

Once or twice a year keeps most homes on top of the build-up, with a regular clean in between.

How a visit works

  • Point out the problem areas

Show us any stain or mark, and tell us what caused it and whether anything has been used on it already. Some home stain removers set a stain or strip the colour, and that changes what we use.

  • Water and power

We bring the products and the equipment. We only need running water and a plug socket, so leave both on until we finish.

  • Pets and children

Keep them out of the room while we work, and off anything we cleaned until it is dry.

Our promise

  • £5m insured

Public liability insurance on every job. Ask and we send the certificate before your clean.

  • DBS-checked team

Every technician has a DBS check. Our own team does every job, never subcontractors.

  • Free re-clean

Not happy with an area we cleaned? Tell us within 72 hours and we come back and clean it again, free.

Questions

How much does a deep clean cost?

A studio flat is from £120, a 1-bed flat from £150, a 2-bed house from £200, a 3-bed house from £260 and a 4-bed house from £330. We confirm a fixed price before we start, and the minimum charge is £60.

What is the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?

A regular clean keeps on top of the surfaces you see every week. A deep clean reaches what a regular clean skips: limescale, built-up grease, skirting, doors, high dust and the floor behind furniture. Most people book one before a regular cleaner starts, after building work, or once or twice a year.

Is a deep clean the same as an end of tenancy clean?

No. An end of tenancy clean is for an empty property and follows the letting agent's checklist, including inside every cupboard and appliance. A deep clean is for a home you are living in, with your furniture and belongings in place.

How long does a deep clean take?

Two cleaners take about 4 hours for a 1-bed flat and most of a day for a 3-bed house. Larger or very dirty homes may need a third cleaner or a second visit, and we tell you that when we quote.

Do you bring your own products and equipment?

Yes. We bring everything: products, cloths, vacuum, mop, steam cleaner and steps. We only need running water and a plug socket.

Can you clean the oven and carpets on the same visit?

Yes. Add an oven clean from £55 or carpet cleaning from £45 a room, and we do it all on one visit. Ask when you book so we bring the right kit.

Can you remove black mould?

We remove surface mould from grout, tiles, sealant and window frames. Mould that has grown into silicone sealant usually needs the sealant replacing, and damp that keeps coming back needs its cause fixing. We tell you which it is.

Do I need to be home?

No. You can leave a key or a door code, and we send photos when we finish. If you are home, we walk round with you before we leave.
