Cleaned in your kitchen

How an oven clean works in a Manchester kitchen

  1. Type, photo and access

Send the type of oven and a photo of it open on WhatsApp. For a flat, tell us the floor, whether there is a lift and how we get in, so we can plan the visit.

  2. Oven off, kitchen covered

Switch the oven off at least 2 hours before we arrive so it is cool enough to work on. We put sheets down on the floor and worktop, then lift out the racks and runners.

  3. Soak, scrape and rinse

The racks soak in a heated dip tank. We take off the door and the fan cover, scrape off the carbon by hand and lift the grease with a caustic-free gel, then rinse every part.

  4. Rebuild and test

We put it all back, wipe the outside and turn the oven on to check that it heats. There are no fumes, so you can cook as soon as we leave.

Which ovens we clean in Manchester

  • Single ovens

Built-in or freestanding, from £55 and about 2 to 3 hours. If a hob sits above the oven, say so when you book. It is £20 more when we clean the oven too.

  • Double ovens

Two cavities, so two sets of racks and door glass to do. From £75 and about 3 to 4 hours, with both ovens cleaned in the one visit.

  • Range cookers

Two or more cavities, a grill and a wide hob. From £95 and up to 5 hours, so this is the longest visit we do. Send the make and a photo with every door open.

  • AGA and heat-storage cookers

We clean these as well. Send us the model and a photo and we confirm a fixed price before we start. An AGA must be turned off the night before, so it is cold when we arrive.

  • Self-cleaning ovens

A self-clean cycle deals with the oven walls, not the parts around them. The door glass, racks, seals and fan cover still need cleaning, and we use products that are safe for self-cleaning enamel.

When can you cook again?

  • As soon as we leave

We rinse every part and use caustic-free products, so there are no fumes and nothing to burn off. We put the oven back together and turn it on to check that it heats. After that, it is ready to cook in.

  • No waiting for the smell to clear

Many shop-bought oven sprays are caustic. They need gloves and an open window, and the fumes can linger. Our products are caustic-free and fume-free, so there is no waiting before you cook.

  • Turn it off early

Switch the oven off at least 2 hours before we arrive, so it is cool enough to work on. If you have an AGA, it needs to be off the night before.

Oven cleaning before an end of tenancy check-out

  • Already part of a move-out clean

An oven clean, with the hob and extractor hood, is part of every end of tenancy clean in Manchester, so you do not book it twice.

  • Oven only

If you have cleaned the rest of the property yourself, book the oven on its own. The glass between the door panes and the back of the fan cover only come clean when the oven is taken apart.

  • Book a few days before check-out

Book the oven clean for a few days before your check-out, not the day before. If the agent flags the oven, tell us within 72 hours and we come back and clean it again, free.

  • Student houses in Fallowfield and Withington

Most student tenancies end in the summer, so book as soon as you have your move-out date. In a shared house, agree who is paying and who will let us in before you book, so the visit is not held up.

Flats, parking and access in the city centre and Salford Quays

  • The floor and the lift

Tell us which floor the flat is on and whether there is a lift, so we know what to expect before we arrive.

  • How we get in

Tell us whether the block has a concierge, a fob or a key entry, and who will be in when we arrive. Someone needs to let us in and show us the oven.

  • Where we can park or unload

Many city-centre and Salford Quays blocks have limited parking. Tell us where we can park or unload, and whether there is a permit or a time limit, so we can plan the visit and tell you when to expect us.

  • Space around a flat kitchen

We put sheets down on the floor and the worktop. Clear the worktop beside the oven and the hob, and take anything stored inside the oven or the grill out before we arrive.

How a visit works

  • Point out the problem areas

Show us any stain or mark, and tell us what caused it and whether anything has been used on it already. Some home stain removers set a stain or strip the colour, and that changes what we use.

  • Water and power

We bring the products and the equipment. We only need running water and a plug socket, so leave both on until we finish.

  • Pets and children

Keep them out of the room while we work, and off anything we cleaned until it is dry.

Our promise

  • £5m insured

Public liability insurance on every job. Ask and we send the certificate before your clean.

  • DBS-checked team

Every technician has a DBS check. Our own team does every job, never subcontractors.

  • Free re-clean

Not happy with an area we cleaned? Tell us within 72 hours and we come back and clean it again, free.

Questions

How much is oven cleaning in Manchester?

A single oven is from £55, a double oven from £75 and a range cooker from £95. A hob or an extractor hood is £20 each when we clean the oven too. We confirm a fixed price before we start, and the minimum charge is £60 a visit. Bark gives £55 to £100 for a typical oven clean in Manchester (checked 26 October 2026).

Which parts of Manchester do you cover?

All of Manchester and Salford, plus Stockport, Trafford, Oldham and Bury. That includes the city centre, Ancoats, Salford Quays, Fallowfield, Withington, Chorlton and Didsbury. Not sure? Send us your postcode.

Can I cook the same day?

Yes. We use caustic-free products and rinse every part, so there are no fumes and nothing to burn off. You can cook as soon as we have put the oven back together and checked that it heats.

How long does an oven clean take?

A single oven takes about 2 to 3 hours, a double oven 3 to 4 hours and a range cooker up to 5 hours. Very heavy carbon can add an hour, and we tell you before we start if we expect that.

Can you clean the oven in a city-centre or Salford Quays flat?

Yes. Tell us the floor, whether there is a lift, and how we get in: concierge, fob or key. Also tell us where we can park or unload, because many blocks have limited parking. With that we plan the visit and tell you when to expect us.

Do I need a separate oven clean if I am moving out of a rental?

Not if you book an end of tenancy clean. The oven, hob and extractor hood are part of it. If you only need the oven done, book it on its own a few days before check-out, so there is time to put right anything the agent flags.

Can you clean the oven in a student house in Fallowfield or Withington?

Yes. Tell us what type of oven it is, who is paying and who will let us in. In a shared house, agree that between you before you book, so the visit is not held up.

How soon can you come?

Usually the same week. Saturday slots cost the same as weekday ones. Turn the oven off at least 2 hours before we arrive, so it is cool enough to work on.
