Bark’s Manchester oven cleaning page says a typical oven clean costs £55 to £100 a job. It gives one range, not a price for each type of oven.

|---|---|---|---|
| Single oven | from £55 | £85 | £70 to £110 |
| Double oven | from £75 | £105 | £90 to £135 |

How our prices compare
Our single oven price of £55 matches the bottom of Bark’s Manchester range. It is £15 below the bottom of Housekeep’s range for a single oven and £30 below its average. Our double oven and range cooker starting prices are also £15 below the bottom of Housekeep’s range for those ovens. With the £60 minimum, a single oven on its own is £60: inside Bark’s range and £25 below Housekeep’s average.
Compare like with like. Ours are starting prices for standard sizes, Housekeep’s are averages that include VAT, and Bark gives one range for the job. We confirm the total, including any VAT, before we start.
What is included
Ours covers the racks, trays and runners, soaked in a heated dip tank, and the door taken off with the glass cleaned between the panes where the door allows. The fan cover is cleaned front and back, and the seals, knobs and outside of the oven are wiped and polished. Sheets go down on the floor and worktop first. We use caustic-free, fume-free products. If you are not happy and tell us within 72 hours, we re-clean it free.
When you compare quotes, ask whether each one covers the racks, the glass between the door panes and the fan cover. Those are the parts that only come clean when the oven is taken apart.
What changes the price
- Type of oven. Housekeep says oven type and condition matter most. We charge £55 for a single oven, £75 for a double oven and £95 for a range cooker, because there is more to clean.
- Condition. Years of burnt-on carbon take longer to scrape off. Very heavy build-up can add an hour, and we tell you before we start if we expect that. Housekeep also says heavily soiled ovens take longer.
- Hob and extractor hood. Ours are £20 each when we clean the oven too. Housekeep lists hob cleaning and extractor fan cleaning at £25 each on average outside London.
- Where you live. Housekeep puts London £15 above the rest of the UK for a single oven, a double oven and a range cooker.
- When you book. Housekeep says weekend, bank holiday, early and evening slots may cost more, and same-day or next-day bookings can carry a premium. Saturday slots cost the same as weekday ones with us.
How long an oven clean takes
| Oven | Typical time |
|---|---|
| Single oven | 2 to 3 hours |
| Double oven | 3 to 4 hours |
| Range cooker | Up to 5 hours |
Very heavy carbon can add an hour. Housekeep gives no set times, but says a compact single oven is usually quicker than a double oven or a large range cooker. We use caustic-free products and rinse every part, so you can cook as soon as we leave.
Moving out
An oven clean is part of every end of tenancy clean we do, so you do not pay for it twice. If a firm prices it as an extra, our end of tenancy cost guide lists Fantastic Services at £50 to £75 and BestBuilders at £45 to £80 for an oven clean (both checked 23 October 2026).
